Bojangles Opens in Black Mountain with Special Thank You to First Responders

Bojangles, the legendary, Carolina-born chain celebrated for its iconic chicken, biscuits and tea, has officially opened in Black Mountain. Located at 581 S. Hwy 9, the restaurant opened its doors to the public on April 1, 2026, at 5 a.m., bringing the brand’s signature flavors and warm hospitality to the community.

This is the company’s 27th location in the Asheville DMA, with restaurants in Asheville, NC; Inman, SC; and Spartanburg, SC; among others.

To mark the occasion and show appreciation to those who protect and serve Black Mountain every day, Bojangles hosted a private Friends & Family-style event on March 31 honoring the town’s first responders. The “First to Table” event welcomed local police officers, firefighters, EMTs and medics to be the first to enjoy Bojangles’ menu, including favorites like Bo’s Chicken Sandwich, Chicken Tenders and Bo-Berry Biscuits. The event featured a special “biscuit cutting” ceremony – a Bojangles twist on the traditional ribbon cutting – with city officials, first responders and Bojangles representatives. “This opening is about more than just great Bojangles chicken and biscuits – it’s a celebration of the first responders who serve and protect the community day in and day out,” said Patrick Boykin, chief operating officer of Bojangles of WNC. “We’re excited to introduce our Southern hospitality and famous flavors to this growing community – and proud to kick things off by honoring the local heroes who keep it safe.”

Guests can order Bojangles in-store, via the drive-thru or online at Bojangles.com.
