Welcome to Bojangles of Western North Carolina!  As a new member of the Bojangles team we are pleased to offer you a comprehensive, high quality benefits package.  You will receive a New Hire packet that includes a benefit guide with detailed information about all of the benefit options available to you and your family, including information about how to enroll in coverage. In the meantime, we’ve put together a list of commonly asked questions that we hope you will find useful.

WHEN WILL I BE ELIGIBLE FOR BENEFITS?
We offer benefits to our full-time employees the first of the month following 60 days of continuous employment. However, if you and/or your dependents are currently enrolled in the medical with Acorn Group we will waive the new hire waiting period for this benefit and allow you to enroll yourself and your qualified dependents in our plan as of your Bojangles WNC hire date, October 5, 2020. We understand how important these benefits are to you and your family. This exception is only available for Fulltime employees and their dependents currently enrolled in the Medical Plan for Acorn Group. Dental and Vision and other plans will be available at the normal enrollment time.

If you are a fulltime employee but do not have coverage currently, you will be eligible to enroll in our plans the first of the month following 60 days of employment.

You’ll have a specified amount of time to enroll, but if you decline coverage when it is offered, you will not be eligible to enroll until next year’s annual enrollment period when typically begins in June of 2021 for an August 1, 2021 effective date. There are certain Qualifying Life Events that may occur during the year that will allow you to make changes to your benefits.  Refer to the Benefit Booklet for a complete list of all Qualifying Events as well as information about your responsibilities and who to contact to make a  change.

HOW DO I ENROLL?
Bojangles WNC uses an online Benefit Enrollment system called BenefitFirst. The portal is easy to use and can be accessed from a computer or your smart phone. It contains detailed information about our benefits, including Plan documents, Benefit summaries, videos and other helpful tools. You will receive a letter called a PERSONAL BENEFIT STATEMENT (PBS) that contains your unique username and password along with instructions about how to log into the portal and make your elections.
                                                                                      No Computer? No Worries!
Benefitfirst also operates a Call Center to answer any questions you may have and can even help you enroll over the phone! The PBS will include the Call Center phone number and operating hours.
